Our mechanic will air up the tires and lube the chain and you’re on your way. We recommend you frequently check the pressure in your tires and re-lubricate your chain about once a month. We always give free air and chain lube at Ptown Bikes.
For $25 our mechanic will thoroughly inspect and test your bike. We will let you know what we can do to make your bike run at it's best. If you have work done on your bike we will waive the $25 assessment fee.

Opening Day through April 30. Don’t wait for good weather! Get your bikes in early so they will be ready for you when it turns sunny and warm. We typically get backed up several weeks because this service is so popular. Don't wait, make a reservation early.
We wipe down your bike when we work on it for no charge. We also offer a thorough bike cleaning which includes cleaning the gunk off the frame, wheels, gears, chain, and brakes. Then your bike is polished to look its best. This service does not include rust cleaning. Ask our advice. Pricing based on individual cases.
Ship your bike directly to our shop and we will build it and tune it up. Call or email us to let us know your bike is on its way and when you want to pick it up. We will have it ready for you! (Some weeks at Ptown Bikes are extremely busy. It's always a good idea to contact us and plan ahead so we can best accommodate your schedule!)
We adjust your brakes and both derailleurs. Replacement parts/installation extra. Kind of like a mini Tune-Up.
We will remove the tube and tire from your bike and inspect it to determine the cause of the flat. We will then install a new basic inner tube and fill your tire to the proper pressure. We also lube the chain. Our work is guaranteed and if you get another flat within a week we will fix it again for free.
*High performance and specialty tubes may cost more. Dutch bikes, E-Bikes and other specialty bikes often require additional labor at shop rate of $89/hr.
We provide free rental bikes to customers while your bike is being repaired (based on availability). Loaner bikes are usually available, however, during very busy weeks and holidays it may not be possible. Call and ask at the front counter for availability (or come see us in person)!
We will store your bike in our warehouse in Truro keeping it safe from moisture and salt air. A bike left out all winter, even under a porch may require extensive repairs. When you are ready for your bike, please give us a weeks heads up so we can retrieve your bike from our warehouse, dust it off, air up the tires and lube the chain. It will be ready when you arrive.
Storage for up to a year plus a Tune-Up. Winter storage as described above. In the spring give us a 2 week heads up. We will retrieve your bike from our warehouse, give it a tune-up, and it will be ready when you arrive. If you need to pick your bike up during one of the busiest weeks of the summer (4th of July, Bear Week, Carnival), please make sure to give us plenty of notice so that we can make sure we have your bike ready for you on time.

We professionally box your bike for shipping. We will carefully disassemble your bike and pack it using foam pads, bubblewrap, zip ties... whatever it needs. We will then book your bike’s travel using BikeFlights. You can pay BikeFlights directly, or we can organize it for you. Ship your bike directly to your home or favorite bike shop for assembly.
We are still here for you even when we are closed.

Estimate the approximate date you will pick up your bike. Remember to call, email or text us 2 weeks prior to picking up your stored bike in the spring/summer.
